In her work, Ada Pääskysaari focuses on self-portraiture, documentary projects, photobooks and building exhibitions. The themes of her projects vary from neurodivergency, friendships and romantic relationships to anthropological phenomenons like true crime. Her own subjective touch is a big part of each work. In some of her works she uses self-portraiture as a tool and in some her own voice is a part of the work in text form.
Ada Pääskysaari (b.2000) is a Finnish photographer and artist based in Lahti. She is currently studying photography at Lahti Institute of Design and Fine Arts, and working on her ongoing projects, Shambles and Zoe, The Protagonist.
